When I first started thinking about wedding photography, I knew that this workshop by Justin & Mary was one of the first workshops I wanted to attend. What I didn't expect was how much I would learn and how this workshop would completely revolutionize the way that I shoot. I also didn't expect to meet two people who are so in love with what they do and so willing to share their knowledge with others. Justin & Mary blew me away with their knowledge, their ability to explain things in ways that totally made sense and their heart for their business and thier clients!

We started the day at a hotel in Toronto where Justin & Mary spoke about why they do what they do and taught us about shooting using directional light. We shot some detail shots and then learned about shooting classic bridal portraits.

This is Jenna. She was our white Queen and the girl was not only gorgeous, but knew how.to.pose. Check our her gorgeous profile!

Next we went to a church where we talked about shooting in dark churches and placement during a ceremony.

The last place we visit was where the "reception" was taking place. This beautiful location is in a conservation area and I was in awe of how grand it was!

Olivia was our Alice with her friend Joe...they made a gorgeous couple!

I rented a 14-24mm lens that was fun to play around with to get wide shots and it was really awesome in playing around with distortion in conjunction with the Alice in Wonderland theme.

Oh Olivia...you were such a perfect Alice and just beautiful!

Jenna and Jonathan were the perfect pair for a tea party:)

I loved playing with the wide angle lens to distort things...it looks like the chair and table shrunk just like Alice did in the movie!

I don't know if I can ever fully express my thanks and gratitude to Justin & Mary for their willingness to host this workshop or to the many awesome ladies that I met at the workshop! It was definitely a day that I will not forget any time soon. If you are a photographer and looking for the chance to amp up your skills for weddings, Walk Through a Wedding is one of the best choices out there. I promise, it will totally change the way you see, shoot and think about weddings!

When they first met at a party, Corey blew her off but Jami knew that there was a possibility of something there. When they ran into each other again, they struck up a conversation and Corey realized that not only was this girl beautiful, but she was smart and funny as well. On a date to the beach, Jami wrote their names on a stone and buried it in the sand - burying with it her unspoken dreams of one day spending the rest of her life with this man whom she had fallen in love with. Little did she know that only a few months later, Corey would hand her a similar stone with their names  on it and ask for her hand in marriage.

On Saturday, we were privileged to be apart of Corey & Jami's beautiful and intimate ceremony at Gen's Falls. Thank you both for the  amazing opportunity to see you unite your lives together and we were so excited to help you out as witnesses. Kyle and I hope to stay in touch and see your lives blessed as you grow together in your love.

We started out with some portraits of the two of them....seriously, Corey and Jami could be models!

Corey came early and tied a bunch of ribbons to the trees and put some rose petals on the ground. They were perfect touches to the already beautiful surroundings!

I love this shot more than I can even express!

Jami - your are seriously gorgeous!!!

When your bride and groom say they want to be adventurous and the bride brings boots...you know you have to find a location for some killer shots. We took a little hike to get to the smaller water fall and I fell in love with these next pcitures.

The willow tree at Glen's Fall is one of my favorite parts of the park but it can be hard to get to because of a steep hill. It's not a problem for a bride in boots though!! YAY!

Seriously guys....you both looked so amazing!!!!

Remember how I said they were adventurous? They really were open to anything I asked which is like a dream for a photographer and gets us results like the photo below. L.O.V.E.

Next we headed off to Delaware park for some more pictures...you mean you want lots of time for fabulous portraits of yourselves? Of course I will be happy to deliver!!!

You both killed it! Seriously amazing!!!

Jami, you looked absolutely flawless on your wedding day.

I will leave you with my two favorite pictures from the day below (there were so many that I couldn't pick just one!) I hope you both loved your day and love your pictures! Thank you again for being you and allowing us to capture such a special time in your lives!
